Google Fly-In Videos
A fun way to elevate your virtual tours is by adding a Google Fly-in video. Fly-ins begin with a view of Earth from outer space and zoom into your location, giving viewers a better idea of the surrounding areas.
There are a couple providers we have partnered with who can create these videos on your behalf:
FlyGuysWorldwide - Each fly-in includes the property and up to 2 points of interest. You can find out more about them and their work here.
Dave Clark - A current TourBuzz user, also offers to create these for other TourBuzz users. The fly-in is 1 minute and 30 seconds long and will be delivered as an MP4 file, which can easily be added to your TourBuzz tour. You can find out more information here.
You can also create these videos on your own! To create these videos, you will first need to download Google Earth Pro. Once downloaded, enter your email address and use the following license key: GEPFREE.
Now that you are logged in, you will want to make sure to turn on/off the layers you wish to see in your videos.
Once you’ve done that, you can turn off the Left-hand sidebar by going to View>Sidebar.
You are now ready to record! To record, go to Tools>Movie Maker. Select where you want to save the video, then click Create Movie. Finally, under the compression settings (which automatically pops up once you click Create movie), change the Compressor quality to Best, then click OK. The video will automatically start recording.
Enter the address in the top left corner, and click the search button. The video will automatically zoom into your location from space. Once it stops, you are then able to navigate around the location or zoom in even closer for a street view if desired. You can find keyboard and mouse shortcuts here.
When you are done, click Stop Recording and view your video. You can then upload the video directly to your tour in .mp4 format, or you can upload it to Vimeo or YouTube, then add it as a custom link to the tour.
