How to use the Hotspot Editor and Add Your own Icons

The Hotspot editor is designed to allow photographers to insert a floor plan alongside their images and let the viewer browse the rooms of the house with quick access.

How are hotspots used

  • Hotspot Icons are used in the Floor Plan editor to tag specific images to locations in a home.

Finding the hotspot editor

  • Once an image of a floor plan is uploaded, the system will automatically detect the image as a floor plan and place it within the Tour Floorplan(s) section of the images/video tab.

  • Click edit on the floor plan you would like to add a hotspot to.
  • Once you are on the editing page, you will see a tab called “Hotspot Editor” this is where you can add, remove, and edit all of your hotspots.

Adding a hotspot

  • Adding a hotspot is very easy. All you need to do is drag and drop the image you want to the location you want the hotspot to appear. For example, dragging an image of the kitchen, to the kitchen location on the floor plan will create a hotspot for the kitchen.

Editing a hotspot

  • To edit a hotspot, click on the hotspot you would like to edit. Underneath the floor plan, you will see some options that will allow you to delete a hotspot, or change the icon. If you want to move the hotspot, just click on the hotspot and drag it to a new location.

What if I want to use my own icons?

  • TourBuzz provides a set of icons of multiple sizes, shapes and colors for hot spots. You can upload your own icon.  The largest size supported in 64x64.
